"Break Stuff" was the fourth and last single from Significant Other, released alongside "N 2 Gether Now." The video premiered in February 2000 on the short-lived USA Network show Farmclub.com next to Korn's video for "Make Me Bad," and both bands appeared to introduce their clips. It won the MTV Video Music Award for Best Rock Video that year.
The video was shot at Skatelab. The band members are seen in some scenes not playing instruments and in others playing each other's. The cameos include Snoop Dogg, Jonathan Davis of Korn, Dr. Dre, Eminem and his daughter Hailie Jade, Pauly Shore, model Lily Aldridge and Tony Hawk's son Riley Hawk.
The song is known for the band's performance at Woodstock '99, where violence broke out. Fred Durst told the crowd not to let anybody get hurt, and said he did not think they should mellow out. In the mosh pit, fans tore plywood off the walls while it played. It is a staple of Limp Bizkit's live shows. K.Flay covered it on a 2020 EP, and Pussy Riot covered it for an episode of In From the Cold. In 2025, EA used it in the trailer for Battlefield 6's multiplayer mode.
Break Stuff runs at 108 BPM, the tempo of mid-tempo pop, dancehall and indie. In classical terms it sits in moderato territory. A bar of 4/4 lasts 2.22 seconds, and a quarter-note delay is 556 ms. It is in Ab major, Camelot 4B, which shares its notes with F minor and mixes cleanly with Db major and Eb major.
