Crazy on You

Heart wrote "Crazy on You" while living together in a small A-frame cottage in Point Roberts, Washington, on the Canada–United States border. The song appeared on the band's 1975 debut album, Dreamboat Annie, and came out as a single in Canada and the United States in March 1976. It peaked at number 25 on RPM's Top Singles chart in Canada and number 35 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US. In early 1977 it did even better in Europe, reaching number 2 in the Netherlands and number 13 in Belgium.

The track opens with an acoustic guitar instrumental sometimes linked to Heart's piece "Silver Wheels" before turning into a fast-paced rock number. Co-writer Nancy Wilson said the rapid acoustic rhythm part drew inspiration from The Moody Blues' 1970 song "Question", while guitarist Roger Fisher created the riff during recording sessions. The pairing of acoustic and electric guitars drew attention, as did the fact that the acoustic guitarist was a woman, a rarity in rock at the time. Ann Wilson later explained that the lyrics, about forgetting the world's problems for one night of passion, were written in response to the stress of the Vietnam War and social unrest in early 1970s America.

Chicago station WLS-AM ranked it the 30th biggest song of 1976. Mushroom Records re-released the single in late 1977, and that version reached number 62 on the Billboard Hot 100 in February 1978. In 2013, the original lineup performed it together at their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, their first performance together in over 30 years.
