Let the Dream Come True

The single went gold in Germany after its September 1994 release, part of a strong European run for DJ BoBo. "Let the Dream Come True" topped the charts in both Finland and Switzerland, reached number four in Germany and number six in Austria, and peaked at number nine on the Eurochart Hot 100 in November of that year. Further afield, it charted in Israel, Canada and Australia. The track was the lead single from the Swiss artist's second album, There Is a Party.

The female vocals came from American singer Lori Glori, also known as Lori Hölzel, and the release followed the fast-paced Eurodance formula with rap verses performed by DJ BoBo himself. Born Peter René Baumann, he had first broken through with "Somebody Dance with Me" and was building a string of hits across the German-speaking countries and beyond.

A music video accompanied the single, directed by Frank Paul Husmann-Labusga and filmed in New York. It told the story of an unemployed mother who loses her little son in the city after leaving him outside a shop where she has gone to ask about a vacancy. A man in a limousine finds the boy, and the pair search for the mother before stopping at a park performance where the family reunites. Between these scenes, DJ BoBo performs the song with his dancer in and around an empty old factory building. Germany's VIVA placed the video on its A-list in November 1994, and Husmann-Labusga went on to direct the clips for "Freedom" and "There Is a Party".
