"My My My" was built around a sample of "Comin' Apart," a song by Gary Wright from his 1981 album The Right Place. American producer and DJ Armand van Helden produced the track in 2004 and included it on his album Nympho. When it came out as a single, it became a top-10 hit in Australia, Flemish Belgium, Denmark and Norway, and reached number 15 on the UK Singles Chart.
A second version followed in 2006, stylized as "MyMyMy" and featuring vocals from Tara McDonald. This version performed better in Britain than the original had, peaking at number 12, three places higher. It also did better in Ireland, reaching number 25 against the original's peak of 36.
The music video centers on a dream sequence involving a geeky man named Beeny Royston, who sunbathes on a beach in a raincoat and orange speedos. He spots a young woman in a bikini at a beach house behind him, and she invites him into an all-girls' party there. The ending reveals that he has been daydreaming all along, and that the girl he appeared to be kissing was in fact his dog.
