Metal Hammer later named "Pull Harder on the Strings of Your Martyr" one of the decade's biggest metal anthems. The track, often shortened to "Pull Harder" or simply "Martyr," came from American heavy metal band Trivium and appeared on their 2005 album Ascendancy, released as that record's second single. It also found a place on the soundtrack for the 2005 movie The Cave.
Live, the song held a special spot in the band's sets, closing shows as the final number until 2011, after which Trivium finished with either the Shogun single "Throes of Perdition" or "In Waves" from the album of the same name. Its performance history shifted over the years as well.
