Superstylin'

MC M.A.D., the long-time vocalist of Groove Armada, supplied the vocals for "Superstylin'", the track that opened the English duo's album Goodbye Country (Hello Nightclub). Released on 13 August 2001, it was the band's first single from that record, which came from Andy Cato and Tom Findlay, the two men behind the group. The duo credited Daniels with shaping the cross-genre sound, describing the result as house music carrying influences of dancehall, reggae and dub, underpinned by a speed garage bassline.

The single reached number 12 in the United Kingdom and charted in Italy, Australia, Flanders, Ireland and New Zealand. In the United States it climbed to number 40 on the Billboard Dance Club Play chart and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording in 2003.

The music video opened in the band's recording studio, then revealed that scene being watched on a portable device resembling a modern phone, years before such gadgets existed. Two scruffy men, played by British actors James Holmes and Andrew Powell, hauled an oversized bass speaker toward a building where Groove Armada performed the song live. Once they wired it into the PA system and pushed up the volume, strange occurrences spread through the building, and the band's logo appeared on an arcade machine at the end.
