The lyrics of "Ever Blazin'" had Sean Paul testifying about a "never ending" love, delivered over the 'Masterpiece' riddim built by producer Steven 'Lenky' Marsden. The track reunited the Jamaican rapper with Marsden, the award-winning producer behind "Get Busy", and appeared on his third studio album, The Trinity, released in 2005.
"Ever Blazin'" came out in the UK on 28 November 2005 as the second international single from The Trinity. In France it was the first single from the album to chart, and it reached its highest peak there at No. 8. The UK told a different story. The single missed the top 10, becoming Sean Paul's first solo single to do so there since the first release of "Gimme the Light" made No. 32 in 2002. It was his lowest UK chart peak until July 2006, when "Never Gonna Be the Same" failed to make the top 20.
