The music video for "Indestructible" appeared on Disturbed's website on August 20, 2008, ahead of the single's release on September 29 that year. Directed by Noble Jones, the video went into production the previous June and depicted war across history, with combatants moving from spears to modern firearms. Its battle scenes recalled the films 300 and 10,000 BC, intercut with footage of the band performing. The closing scene broke from past depictions of armed combat by showing a female soldier-warrior charging toward a threat to her fellow soldiers.
The song was released as the third single from Disturbed's album of the same name and peaked at No. 2 on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and No. 10 on the Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart. It also appeared in the video game Midnight Club: Los Angeles.
Vocalist David Draiman described the track as an anthem for soldiers, written to make troops heading into battle feel invincible and take away their fear. He added that it also symbolized the band's staying power in the industry. Guitarist Dan Donegan echoed the point, saying the band had become indestructible by surviving so long in the business. Draiman concluded that no matter what was thrown at them, the band was still standing and still viable.
